Project overview

The SAT-Tabletops project aims to enhance cyber security incident preparedness by simplifying the execution of tabletop exercises across various units. These exercises are vital in enabling our community to handle potential cyber security incidents effectively.

By introducing the tabletops platform, this project empowers units to conduct these exercises independently. This initiative significantly contributes to the broader objective of strengthening the University’s cyber resilience and readiness, fostering a secure and robust digital environment.

Who is this project for?

This project is available for unit leaders, IT teams/departments, administrators and anyone involved in the University’s incident response and cyber security preparedness efforts.

Why and how to join the project?

The tabletops exercise platform, provided by an external vendor, offers units a practical way to test their incident response plans, train the participants and identify areas for improvement. Users can engage in pre-built scenarios covering various cyber security threats or customize the published exercises to suit their specific requirements. The platform dynamically adjusts exercise difficulty based on participant performance and delivers detailed reports and analysis post-exercise to ensure effective learning.

What does participation look like?

Expectation from participating units – e.g., onboard your own users, promote etc.
