This document describes the procedure for configuring desktop access for the Windows SAPgui client with the eToken and Cisco AnyConnect client.

Prerequisites:

  1. Possession of eToken with UTORauth-issued certificate and a current version of the SafeNet client installed on Windows hosts.
  2. Installed Cisco AnyConnect VPN client configured for use with the eToken.
  3. SAPgui client installed.
  4. Staff authorization for access to business intelligence services configured.

Desktop Configuration

Note: If cut and paste doesn’t work for the info below, try replacing the ‘opening and closing’ quotes with regular quotes.

For 64-bit Microsoft Windows:

  1. Create a desktop icon for SAPgui. Configure the ‘target’ field with:
    “C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\SAPgui.exe” /H/sap-ams.adminsys.utoronto.ca/S/3205
  2. Create a desktop icon for SAPrpt. Configure the ‘target’ field with:
    “C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\SAPgui.exe” /H/sap-rpt.adminsys.utoronto.ca/S/3210

For 32-bit Microsoft Windows:

  1. Create a desktop icon for SAPgui. Configure the ‘target’ field with:
    “C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\SAPgui.exe” /H/sap-ams.adminsys.utoronto.ca/S/3205
  2. Create a desktop icon for SAPrpt. Configure the ‘target’ field with:
    “C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\SAPgui.exe” /H/sap-rpt.adminsys.utoronto.ca/S/3210

Usage:

  • Start the Cisco AnyConnect VPN.
  • use the SAPgui or SAPrpt icon
